"God's plan of salvation for the world, based on the Abrahamic covenant and the later covenants with Israel that expand it, revolves around Israel in every way. Salvation comes to the world through Israel and only through Israel." (From Chapter 5)

Upon This Rock: A New Look
Catholicism, Israel, and the Church
It is a technical, exegetical study of Matthew 16:13-20; John 20:21-23; 21:15-19; Romans 11; and Ephesians 2. In the main menu you can select "Book's Introduction" to read a rather thorough description of the book. It also contains a detailed outline of the book's contents. The eight pictures below also give a brief summary of the contents.
A major theme that runs through this book is the centrality of Israel in God's plan of salvation for the world. I argue that the nation of Israel, the physical seed of Jacob, was, is, and always will be God's chosen people, his covenant nation. All the Old Testament's promises and prophecies made to national Israel will be fulfilled by them. You can read more of this by selecting "Book's Dedication" and "The Centrality of Israel" in the menu.
"This book is more than a mere academic exercise; it is the foundational work for that long awaited study in one of the most neglected areas of Systematic Theology: viz., Ecclesiology, the doctrine of the Church. Now that work will be a new possibility because of the work of Ken Morgan in this text."
You can read Dr. Kaiser's entire Foreword by selecting that item in the menu.
